Summary

About the place: Kerékteleki is a small village in northwestern Hungary, located in Komárom-Esztergom County. The settlement lies in a gently rolling landscape near Kisbér and has a predominantly agricultural character.

Flag Description: The flag consists of a white field covering most of the area, bordered on the fly side by two vertical stripes – an inner green stripe and an outer yellow (golden) stripe. Located in the hoist side of the white field is the full municipal coat of arms. The shield is divided horizontally, yellow in the upper half and green in the lower half, featuring a six-spoked wheel in counterchanged colors in the center. Above the shield is a crowned helmet topped with two golden wheat ears flanking a bunch of grapes. Green and yellow mantling surrounds the shield, and below it is a yellow scroll bearing the black inscription KERÉKTELEKI.

Symbolism: The canting symbol of a wheel (in Hungarian 'kerék') directly references the name of the village, Kerékteleki. The wheat ears and grape bunch above the shield symbolize traditional agriculture and viticulture in the region. Green represents the fertile nature and fields, while yellow/gold symbolizes agricultural wealth and the sun.
