Summary
Kismaros is a village in Pest county, Hungary, situated 45 kilometers north of Budapest on the Danube river. Originally settled by Germans from the Black Forest in the 18th century, it experienced hardship during WWII with forced labor of its youth by the Soviets. Today, it's a commuter town and tourist destination.
