Kistelek

Kistelek is located in Csongrad-Csanád county, within Hungary's Southern Great Plain region. Originally a Cuman settlement with a church, it was documented in 1420 but later depopulated during Ottoman rule. Re-established in the 18th century to combat banditry along the Budapest-Szeged route, it became a center for surrounding villages.
