Koekelare

Koekelare is a municipality in the Belgian province of West Flanders, comprising Bovekerke, Koekelare, and Zande. Historically written as Couckelaere, it features sites related to both World War I, such as the Lange Max Museum and Batterie Pommern. The area also includes windmills repurposed as observation posts during the war.
