Summary
Kolky is a rural settlement in Volyn Oblast, western Ukraine, situated at the confluence of the Styr and Rudka rivers. It first appeared in historical records in 1545 and gained urban-type settlement status in 1940. During WWII, Kolky was the site of the short-lived Kolky Republic, a partisan state with its own currency.
