Korosten is a historic city in Zhytomyr Oblast, northern Ukraine, situated on the Uzh River. It served as the capital of the Drevlians, an ancient Slavic tribe. In 945, Igor of Kiev was killed by the Drevlians in Korosten, leading to Olga of Kiev's revenge.
