Summary
Kostopil is a city in Rivne Oblast, western Ukraine, situated on the Zamchysko river. Originally a village based on iron mining, it gained town privileges in 1792 from Stanisław August Poniatowski. The town experienced industrial growth with the arrival of the railway in the late 1890s.
