Summary
Krásnohorské Podhradie is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District of the Košice Region in eastern Slovakia, dominated by the historic Krásna Hôrka Castle. The settlement was first mentioned in 1322 and was part of Gömör and Kishont County in the Kingdom of Hungary before 1918. It was again annexed by Hungary from 1938 to 1945 after the First Vienna Award.
