Summary
Krasnouralsk is a town in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia, developed primarily around the copper smelting industry. The settlement grew significantly in the 1930s following the construction of a major copper plant based on the Bogomolovskoye deposit. It officially attained town status in 1932.
