Křižovatka

About the place: Křižovatka is a municipality and village in Cheb District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated in the Cheb Basin near the spa town of Františkovy Lázně.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes: red, white, and blue. In the upper part of the hoist-side red stripe, there is a narrow horizontal white stripe containing three blue isosceles triangles with their bases at the bottom edge and vertices touching the top edge of this white stripe. Below it is the right half of a white broken wheel of Saint Catherine with a full hub and the break facing the fly. In the lower part of the fly-side blue stripe, there is a narrow horizontal white stripe, above which stands an erect white sword pointing upwards.

Symbolism: The broken wheel is the attribute of Saint Catherine and the sword is the attribute of Saint Martin, to whom local sacral buildings are dedicated. The triangular pattern and horizontal bars symbolize the geographic location of the village landscape and its historical crossroads.
