Summary
Krolevets is a city in Sumy Oblast, northeastern Ukraine. Founded in 1601 and named after Polish King Sigismund III, it received Magdeburg rights in 1644 and was annexed by Russia in 1667. The city was occupied by German forces during World War II from 1941 to 1943.
