Summary
Kronberg im Taunus is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district of Hesse, Germany, located at the foot of the Taunus mountains and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main metropolitan area. The town originated around Kronberg Castle built circa 1220 and received town rights in 1330 from Louis IV. It was incorporated into Prussia in 1866 after the dissolution of the Duchy of Nassau.
