Krosno Odrzańskie is a town in Lubusz Voivodeship, western Poland, situated on the east bank of the Oder River at its confluence with the Bóbr. First mentioned in 1005, it received town rights in 1201 from Duke Henry I the Bearded. Historically it changed hands among Polish, Bohemian, Brandenburg and Prussian rulers before becoming part of modern Poland after World War II.
