Summary

Krotoszyn is a town in Greater Poland Voivodeship, west‑central Poland, and the seat of Krotoszyn County. Founded in the late medieval period, it received town rights in 1415 from King Władysław II Jagiełło and developed as a trade centre on the Kalisz‑Głogów and Toruń‑Wrocław routes. The town changed hands between Poland and Prussia, was part of the Duchy of Warsaw, and features Gothic, Baroque and Neo‑Renaissance architecture.
