Summary
Krymsk is a town in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, serving as the administrative centre of Krymsky District though not part of it. Founded in 1858 as the fortress Krymskaya, it became a town in 1958 and was the first capital of the Greek Autonomous District (1930‑1932). The town suffered severe flooding in July 2012, killing over 150 people.
