Landen is a municipality and city in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant, comprising several villages. It is historically significant as the birthplace of Pippin of Landen and the location of two major battles: one in 1693 and another during the French Revolutionary Wars. Roman tombs have also been discovered within the municipal boundaries.
