Langenthal

Langenthal is a municipality in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, serving as a regional center for Oberaargau. Archaeological findings indicate settlements dating back to 4000 B.C., with Roman villa remnants also discovered nearby. The town's name evolved from 'Langatun' in 861, referencing farming estates along the Langete river.
