Langres

Langres is a commune in northeastern France, serving as a subprefecture of Haute-Marne. Historically, it was Andematunnum, a Roman settlement of the Lingones tribe, strategically located at the intersection of twelve Roman roads. The town flourished during the Middle Ages due to its influential bishops, who even coined money and appointed military governors.
