Summary

About the place: Lánycsók is a village in southern Hungary, located in Baranya County near the town of Mohács. It lies in a historically rich viticultural region with a multi-ethnic heritage.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three horizontal stripes: green, white, and green. In the center of the flag is a circular seal bordered in black. Inside the seal, the year 1770 is displayed in black at the top. Below it, two male figures wearing red shirts, blue aprons, black trousers, boots, and hats carry a large golden cluster of grapes on a pole. The figures stand on a stylized lattice base.

Symbolism: The green and white colors reflect traditional Hungarian vexillological hues and the natural landscape. The central seal motif featuring the year 1770 and two men carrying a huge grape cluster depicts the biblical motif of the spies in the Promised Land (Caleb and Joshua), symbolizing the fertility of the local land and the deeply rooted winemaking tradition of the village.
