Summary

About the place: Libčice nad Vltavou is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, situated on the left bank of the Vltava River north of Prague.

Flag Description: The flag is divided bendwise by a wavy white stripe, one-fourth of the length wide, into a blue hoist field and a red fly field. In the blue hoist field, there is a white ragged staff (ostrev) with three knots placed bendwise.

Symbolism: The wavy white bend represents the Vltava River flowing through the town. The white ragged staff with three knots on a blue background is derived from the historical coat of arms of the Lords of Chýn and Libčice. Together, the blue, white, and red colors reflect the traditional Czech national colors.
