Lidzbark is a town located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland, situated on the Wel river and Lake Lidzbark. Founded in 1301, it played a role in the events leading up to the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, with King Władysław II Jagiełło passing through the town. It experienced periods under Prussian and Polish rule, and suffered significant damage during World War II.
