Summary
Litovel is a town in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, founded by King Ottokar II between 1252 and 1256. The town developed as a royal center until the Hussite Wars, later falling under the protection of the Vlašim family. Known as "Moravian Venice", Litovel is crossed by the Morava River and its branches.
