Ljubljana

Ljubljana, historically known as Emona, is Slovenia's capital and largest city, situated along a key trade route. It served as the capital of Carniola under Habsburg rule for centuries. Following WWII, it became the capital of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia within Yugoslavia.
