Summary
Loenen was a municipality located in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands, within the Vechtstreek area. It is noted as a location where an early form of golf, 'Colf', was played in 1297 near Kronenburg castle. Loenen merged with Breukelen and Maarssen in 2011 to create the new municipality of Stichtse Vecht.
