Long Beach, New York

Long Beach is a city in Nassau County, New York, situated on the Long Beach Barrier Island. Incorporated in 1922, it's known as "The City by the Sea" with the motto *Civitas ad mare*. The island was historically inhabited by the Lenape people before colonial settlement.
