Summary
Loznica is a city in western Serbia, situated on the Drina river within the Mačva District. Its history traces back to Neolithic settlements of the Starčevo culture, followed by Illyrian, Celtic, and Roman presence. The town gained prominence during the reign of Serbian King Stefan Milutin, with the founding of Tronoša monastery in 1317.
