Summary

Lubartów is a town in eastern Poland, situated in Lublin Voivodeship and historically part of Lesser Poland. Founded in 1543 by Piotr Firlej, it became a center for Calvinism with a Protestant school established in 1559. The town's name was changed to Lubartów in 1744 by King Augustus III, honoring Liubartas, son of Gediminas.
