Lübz is a town situated in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, north-eastern Germany, on the Elde river. First mentioned in 1224, its name has Lechitic origins and it received town rights after 1456. During WWII, it was part of a route for a death march of Allied POWs from Stalag XX-B.
