Marabá, Pará

Marabá is a municipality located in the state of Pará, Brazil, known for its strategic position at the confluence of the Itacaiunas and Tocantins rivers. The city's name originates from the indigenous term 'Mayr-Abá', meaning 'son of the indigenous woman with a white man'. It developed from a trading post established in the 19th century and became a key center for regional commerce.
