Summary
Marhanets is a city located in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine, situated on the Dnieper River. Originally established in 1938, it replaced the village of Horodyshche, a manganese mining settlement. The city experienced German occupation during WWII and suffered a tragic train accident in 2010.
