Summary
Meliata is a village located in the Košice Region of eastern Slovakia, within the Rožava District. Historically, it was first documented in 1243 and was part of the Kingdom of Hungary's Gömör and Kishont County until 1918. Following the First Vienna Award, the village was briefly re-integrated into Hungary between 1938 and 1945.
