Summary

About the place: Moravský Krumlov is a town in the Znojmo District in the South Moravian Region, situated in a meander of the Rokytná River. The town is known for its château and a rich history associated with the Liechtenstein family and the Lords of Lipá.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, upper blue and lower green, in a width ratio of 6:1. Centered and standing on the green stripe is a white ashlar tower with battlements, an open gate with yellow door leaves and a raised portcullis, a dark window, and a red tent roof topped with a yellow finial. Above the gate is a small shield parted per fess yellow and red, crowned with a princely crown. The tower is flanked by two red escutcheons, each bearing a white curved arrow (odřevous).

Symbolism: The composition of the flag is derived from the historical coat of arms of Moravský Krumlov. The white tower represents the town's fortifications and municipal rights, while the green stripe symbolizes the surrounding landscape. The yellow and red shield topped with a princely crown refers to the House of Liechtenstein, and the red escutcheons with white curved arrows represent the Lords of Lipá.
