Myrhorod

Myrhorod is a city in the Poltava Oblast of central Ukraine, serving as the administrative center of the Myrhorod Raion. Founded as a border fort of Kievan Rus', it later became a prominent regimental base for the Cossacks. Since the early 20th century, the city has been renowned as a resort town famous for its mineral waters.
