Summary

About the place: Nagydorog is a village in southern Hungary, located in the Paksi District of Tolna County. It is situated in an agricultural landscape with a rich history and traditional rural character.

Flag Description: The flag consists of a white field bordered along all edges by alternating gold/brown and light blue triangular teeth (wolf-teeth border). In the center of the flag is the village coat of arms inside a decorated gold-bordered shield. The shield is vertically split into two fields: the left (viewer's left) field is light blue featuring a golden sun in the upper part and a cluster of yellow/gold irises with green stems growing from a golden hill. The right field is green, featuring a crescent moon at the top and three gray/silver towers or buildings on a hill, with the central one topped by a cross and the left one topped by a star.

Symbolism: The traditional Hungarian wolf-teeth border follows regional flag design traditions. The blue field with the sun and irises symbolizes the natural environment and local flora, while the green field with buildings, a crescent moon, and a cross represents local architecture, religious heritage, and historical memories of the Ottoman era.
