Summary
About the place: Nagypall is a small village located in Baranya County in southern Hungary, near the town of Pécsvárad. It lies in a picturesque landscape at the foot of the Mecsek mountains.
Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, blue on top and yellow on the bottom. In the hoist section, spanning both stripes, there is a white circular disc containing the complete municipal coat of arms. The coat of arms features a split shield; the left blue field (viewer's left) shows a golden plowshare on a green mount topped by four golden ears of grain, while the right silver field shows a green birch branch with a leaf. The shield is surmounted by a golden crowned helmet with blue and gold mantling. Below the shield at the bottom of the white circle, there is a yellow ribbon bearing the black inscription 'NAGYPALL'.
Symbolism: The blue and yellow colors of the flag are derived from the main tinctures of the municipal coat of arms. The golden plowshare and ears of grain in the blue field symbolize traditional agriculture and the fertility of the region. The birch branch represents the local flora and natural surroundings, while the crowned helmet refers to the historical heritage of the village.
