Summary
About the place: Neu-Anspach is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district in Hesse, Germany. It is located north of Frankfurt am Main in the Taunus mountain range.
Flag Description: The flag is a vertical banner consisting of three vertical stripes: yellow, blue, and yellow. The wider central blue stripe is flanked by narrower yellow stripes. In the upper portion of the central blue stripe, the town's coat of arms is displayed. The coat of arms features a quartered shield in green and yellow with a central ring in counterchanged colors. The first quarter (top-left from the viewer's perspective) contains a red rose with green sepals and a yellow center, the second contains a yellow bell, the third contains a yellow ear of grain, and the fourth contains a red stag antler.
Symbolism: The blue and yellow colors derive from the traditional colors of the region and the municipal coat of arms. The quartered shield represents the four formerly independent villages that merged into the current municipality (Anspach, Hausen-Arnsbach, Rod am Berg, and Westerfeld). The rose, bell, ear of wheat, and stag antler symbolize the historical background, village traditions, agriculture, and the surrounding forests of the Taunus region.
