Okushiri is a town located on Okushiri Island within the Hiyama Subprefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. The entire island is designated as the Hiyama Prefectural Natural Park. It gained international attention following the devastating 1993 Southwest Hokkaido Open Sea earthquake and subsequent tsunami.
