Summary
Łomża is a city in north‑eastern Poland, capital of Łomża County and seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Łomża, situated on the Narew River in Podlaskie Voivodeship. Founded in the 10th century and granted town rights in 1416, it became a royal city and the centre of the historic Łomża Land. Today it is an economic, educational and cultural hub, home to the Łomża Landscape Park and the historic Łomża Brewery.
