Summary

Örkény is a small town in Pest county, about 50 km south of Budapest, Hungary. Originating as a medieval village on the ancient Pest‑Constantinople road, it was repopulated in the 18th century by Prince Antal Grassalkovich. Notable sites include the Neoclassical St. Leopold Church (1848) and the Grassalkovich‑era manor now serving as a cultural centre.
