Csato is a town situated in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, known for its agricultural production of rice and jute. The town's history traces back to the Jomon period with settlements by the Emishi people, evidenced by discovered shell middens. It was part of the Sendai Domain under the Date clan during the Edo period.
