Summary
Partenit is a seaside urban‑type settlement under Alushta in Crimea, internationally recognized as part of Ukraine but occupied by Russia since 2014. Founded as the ancient Greek colony Parthenium, it later saw Goths, Turks, Genoese and Tatars. The town lies near Bear Mountain (Ayu Dag) and is noted for nearby Massandra winery and centuries‑old olive trees.
