Passau

Passau is a city in Lower Bavaria, Germany, situated at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers, earning it the nickname “City of Three Rivers”. Founded as the Roman settlement Batavis, it later became the seat of a powerful Prince‑Bishopric and the site of the 1552 Treaty of Passau. The city hosts the University of Passau, renowned for its economics, law and computer science programs.
