Patos de Minas is a city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, located 415 km northeast of the capital Belo Horizonte in the Triângulo Mineiro region. Founded as Vila de Santo Antônio dos Patos in 1826 and renamed Patos in 1892, it received its current name in 1944. The local economy relies on agriculture, livestock and mining, making it the 22nd‑largest GDP contributor in Minas Gerais.
