Summary
Patos is a municipality in the state of Paraíba, Brazil, situated in the Espinharas River valley between the Borborema Plateau and the Sertanejo pediplain. It originated from the village spun off from the Parish of Nossa Senhora do Bom Sucesso de Pombal on 6 October 1788. Today it serves as an educational, commercial and health hub for the hinterland of Paraíba and neighboring states.
