Pereira, Colombia

Pereira is the capital of the Risaralda department in Colombia, situated in the Andes' foothills within the Coffee Axis. It's a key economic and geopolitical center for the region, part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city was named after Francisco Pereira Martínez, a supporter of independence, and is known as "the pearl of Otún".
