Peumo

Peumo is a Chilean city and commune located in the Cachapoal Province, O'Higgins Region. The city's name originates from the abundance of Peumo trees (Cryptocarya alba) found in the area. Established around 300 years ago, it initially served as a curacy for evangelizing the indigenous population.
