Pilisszentkereszt is a village located in Pest County, within the Budapest metropolitan area of Hungary. Founded in the 12th century around a Cistercian abbey established in 1184, it experienced destruction during the Turkish occupation in 1526. Queen Gertrude of Merania, assassinated in 1213, is buried in the village's abbey graveyard.
