Pistoia

Pistoia is a city in Tuscany, Italy, situated northwest of Florence and crossed by the Ombrone Pistoiese river. It originated as a Roman colony along the Via Cassia, witnessing the death of Catiline's conspirators in 62 BC. The city flourished as a free commune from 1177, becoming a significant political center with notable public buildings.
