Summary
Pontons is a municipality located in the Alt Penedès comarca of Catalonia, Spain. First documented in 966, it was acquired by the Counts of Barcelona, Ramon Berenguer I and his wife Almodis, in 1066. Guillermo Bernardo de Ódena was appointed lord of the castle, later donating land to the Hospitallers in 1138.
