Potenza

Potenza is a city and comune in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy, serving as both the provincial and regional capital. Historically known as Potentia, it was first settled by the Lucanians and later became a Roman municipium. The city faced destruction from earthquakes and conflicts throughout the Middle Ages and modern era.
